Hey!
You probably see the advice to always have an eye out for your next job. People say it helps you find the highest pay, better opportunities, and never get stagnant in your current position…and they’re right!
But at what point are you doing employers work for them? Ignoring that they don’t provide stability like they used to…and moving from job to job just to make sure you aren’t taken advantage of?
The thing I see people most scared of in freelancing is the marketing…getting out and selling yourself to make sure work is coming in. And it isn’t easy, but every day I’m seeing advice to employed people look more and more like the hardest part of freelancing…just without the freedom and still taking a huge discount on your labor.
Just keep that in mind next time you consider changing jobs just for decent treatment.
