Hey!
One of the great things about being a freelancer is that we get to choose who we work with.
I got reminded of that this week when a new client (who I thought had fallen off) popped back up asking to get started on something completely new.
It took me weeks to get a contract signed, and even then, they never delivered the information needed to get our test project going and didn't accept alternatives I suggested. Now they want to try something completely new…ASAP.
And that’s fine.
I don’t hold this against people. Sometimes people, especially those committed to an employer, have different standards of communication and treatment than others do.
But that’s not my issue.
My only responsibility is to maintain the boundaries of my business and find clients who align with my goals.
If you want to talk more about how to identify the red flags that make this process easier, swing by the community boards.
Talk to you soon!
