Don’t get swayed by personality 

 Based on some of the news coming out about Musk’s decisions around Twitter, I get the sense that his personality as a “visionary” is what got so many people behind him.  

And I get it.  

I’ve talked to a ton of founders with amazing “vision” and the outgoing, hard-charging personalities to go along with that.  

But a few missteps on my part have taught me that those people were headed down roads that I didn’t want my business or life to go down.  

The lesson? Personality can be great, but knowing my own needs and looking for concrete proof is a lot more valuable to me as a freelancer.
