When you listen to the freelancers who are
making over six figures, launching innovative new services and stepping into pure entrepreneurship, they all have one thing in common...they’ve mastered their niche.
There’s a ton of info on the site on how to choose and grow in your niche, but I want to kick off 2024 with tips on the mindset you’ll need to become a master of your niche...before you even get one freelance client.
And here’s the thing. Remember how freelancing and employment aren’t a binary?
Well, if you base your freelance business on your employed background (which I HIGHLY recommend) any work you do here will pay off in both areas...whether you’re employed, freelance, or a hybrid.
When mastering your niche as a freelance business owner, remember your role.
You’re not approaching your niche from an artistic, social, or economic perspective.
While those things can and do influence your niche, they’re not the primary lens you should be using.
Keep your focus set on business, and mastery comes a lot easier.
