It’s Black History Month and social media month at BlackFreelance!
For our members, that means working through goals to improve their freelancer social media presence — and that’s because in the age of digital connection, freelancers can’t afford to ignore social media or social networking.
The same goes for you, which is why this month’s freelance tip
is…
Take social seriously.
If you’re just getting started, this means taking some time to see what’s out there for freelancers…searching for freelancers who do what you do on LinkedIn (just use the keyword “freelancer” and your niche), and even Facebook and Twitter. If you’re further along in your career, start checking out clients, potential clients, and events to see what people are talking about and what might move
them to sign up with, or do more business with you.
Megan.
P.S. We’re going to be sharing stories of Black business
innovators and exactly why their work mattered in our Business Of Black History Month series, so come on over and check out our first innovator,
Sarah E. Goode and how a simple invention you’ve possibly owned yourself made such a big difference in her customers’ lives.
