Why you want to be early to a career as a freelancer…

I hope your Sunday is going well...

I just saw that Sports Authority is likely closing all its stores. Some people might just see it as one more retail giant folding, but it’s more than that.

It’s another sign that employment opportunities as we know them are fading forever.

That though, is no reason to withdraw into worry…for you, it’s a reminder that you've already taken the first step in positioning yourself to jump into the world of freelancing--and that's before most other people do.

Since it can take a good 2 years to get into a groove as a freelancer, waiting won’t be rewarded, but people who start making small, inexpensive, manageable moves today, will.

For you that might mean committing to working through each themed month on your own, or signing up for the BlackFreelance Academy (it’s very affordable) so that you’re getting almost daily reminders and inspiration to keep you on the path to an amazingly rewarding freelance career. Seriously...even if you're not ready to pay $7 a month, set up weekly calendar reminders to check out our archives and find something small to improve.

That’s why this week’s freelance tip is…

Don’t wait.

There’s never a perfect time to start freelancing, but any day is better than tomorrow.
