I just got a message from Michael Corley (president of the
New York Realty Professionals) who needs to pass on his role as a writer to someone else. They're looking for a writer who can craft interview pieces on
their members. They also need someone who can write PR-type pieces highlighting successful transactions closed by their members who have been collaborating with each other.
They plan to pay $75 a post (not sure about the length) for 2 posts a month.
You can contact Michael with samples/portfolio links at mcorley@corleyre.com. They are looking to have someone in place by Thanksgiving.
Tips:
This is a really
good opportunity for anyone looking to get into blogging/writing for businesses, and likely a great entry into the real estate (esp NY) niche. Make sure to include samples that highlight your work in blogging, series, the NY local scene, and real estate (if you have any.)
If you'd like to apply and would like tips on resources to help you do your best blogging/interviewing work for them let me know. (Real estate is a popular category for
content marketing, so there are lots of examples for you to follow.)
Also, I'd be glad to take a quick look at any letters before you send them over or give advice (if you need any). As always I can't endorse any potential positions I send, so ask good questions to protect your interests as a freelancer. Good
luck!
Megan
