When I started freelancing, I worried about other writers in my niche.

Should I talk to them? Were they taking all the good jobs? Were they stealing my ideas?

The answer was…well basically the answer was that I shouldn’t worry. Freelancing is about freedom. You have the freedom to not only shape a business you love, but also meet your client needs in a way that leaves you with little to no competition.

How do you do that?

The first step is to find a niche and stick to it. The second is to keep asking questions so that you can keep getting better and better clients. Do those two things, and competition will be an afterthought.
