Freelancing means you open yourself up to an enormous world of diverse opportunities.  All that size though? It can also leave you stagnant, thinking that you have to do everything big, and do it right now.

Let me tell you, you don’t.

I can make up to $2 per word writing now, but I didn’t start that way. My first gig? It was writing a post about real estate for $15. It was a small win. It was an easy win. It was a win I wouldn’t want to still consider a win 2, even 1 year down the road, but you know what? It was still a win for me then, and that’s all that mattered.

Step away from thinking every win has to be huge. Focus on the small, attainable wins you can make every week, or even every month. I find that when you do that, the medium and even big ones tend to follow. Either way though, all those wins really do add up.
