I've seen some strange things happening through this account and
believe it's been compromised. While I've changed my passwords and taken other precautions, I wanted to keep you up to date and let you know a few things...
- If you've received ANY solicitations for work from this account, especially in the last few days, discontinue contact with them immediately. (Specifically, Kevin from NextCo)
- If you've sent them any private information about yourself, monitor your
accounts
- Remember that I'm the only one running this account and this is the only business running through this account. If you receive emails signed by other names or with other companies listed, it's not me.
- If you believe someone has gotten to your account too, change your passwords (and check out this article for additional steps you can take.)
If you've seen anything strange, let me know and as always, be careful out there. Keep an eye out for suspicious clues (like a company's name not matching the domain the email's coming from), and be very wary about giving out sensitive personal information as a freelancer.
