I’m falling in love with a new platform fast, and that’s
nDash.
It’s a newer breed in the world of freelance platforms—where Upwork is massive and search-based, nDash is carefully organized by industry and allows clients to request pitches. It even opens the door in the opposite direction letting writers (hopefully they’ll add other skills soon) to pitch ideas to whole industries at one time.
I’m telling you
about this because I really believe platforms are the future of freelancing.
As more employers continue to cut positions and replace them with freelance and contract labor, platforms like nDash (and Upwork, and Skyword, and Toptal, and Guru…) are stepping up to make the recruiting, communication, and payment processes easier for everybody, us included.
Platforms can make up huge portions of your income (I make well into the 5-figure range from
them each year myself), so it’s something no freelancer, regardless of skillset should overlook.
If you haven’t yet, put together a profile, sell your niche-focus, and get your self on
several right now. (Check out the
Bidding/Job Sites section here to get
started.)
