Is this where you’re stuck in your freelance career?

Hi

Last week I was talking to a Black voiceover artist who was stuck. He was stuck in a spot I think a lot of freelancers know too well.

If you’ve been working through your Foundations workbook, it’s right in the middle of phase 2…right at the part where you start figuring out what services to offer.

The mistake that most people make is that they get stuck thinking internally…asking, “What should I make for people” instead of going out and figuring out what people need and then how you can make it better.

If that’s where you are, take a breath. It’s not about you.

Potential clients are out there every day telling you what they need.

Sometimes they’re proactive, know what they need and are out there saying it flat out  (you’ll find that on sites like Fiverr, FreelanceWritingJobs and Guru) and sometimes they’re quieter about it (you’ll find that by building relationships on LinkedIn and looking for holes like dead blogs or bad product descriptions).

Either way, you can relax knowing that the pressure to figure it out isn’t on you. The answer’s already out there.
