I saw a tweet the other day that got me a little worried.
It basically was someone saying they were dropping one freelance job platform because
another one (that looked better from the outside) popped up. I couldn’t find a polite way to say “Naw girl, that’s not how this works.”
Freelancing is a lot of great things, but it’s also a little inconvenient. There are a bunch of new
platforms out there trying to make it easier, and some people do make a living off just one, but most of us? We have to be on quite a few to hit our income goals.
That’s why Phase 3 of your Workbook mentions site “profiles”, not “profile”.
It’s better to sign up for a bunch early on and cut them off as you go than to focus on one or two and just get discouraged before your freelance career really gets going.
Remember that you can always cancel accounts
later.
