Freelancing has given me a chance to do a lot of different things — marketing, sales, writing, strategy — but one thing I NEVER enjoy is putting together proposals and contracts.
I used to do them by hand in Word documents and send them over to clients via Right Signature to get finalized electronically. I would spend a whole day on a proposal and way too long on contracts…but then a really smart freelancer introduced me to Dubsado.
You get contract templates, a client address book (that automatically populates), the chance to build workflows (to simplify the progress through proposals and contracts), and even some income tracking.
It’s got a little learning curve, but customer service is really helpful and they have tutorials to get you through.
If you’re concerned about aesthetics and client experience, that might put you over the edge. You’re set up with a branded client portal and I’ve gotten quite a few compliments on the whole experience.
It’s got a little learning curve and costs around $20 per month, but when you compare how much time you’ll save on document prep to what you could be earning in production, you’ll probably find out that like a lot of automation tools, it’s worth it.
