Never forget that you have the power to fire a client. It’s your super power as a freelancer.
Just accepting that you have the option of dumping a client at any time will relieve the stress of trying to figure out how to work on annoying, difficult, toxic, or low-value projects.
If they’re stressing you out, mistreating you, or not paying on time, and it’s not because of anything you’re doing and all on their end? Fire them.
If you need the money and can’t afford to? Create a plan to fire them. Start marketing (probably with a focus on short-term tactics) to bring in the new business you need to
get them out of your life.
