I’m rolling into my 6th year freelancing full-time, and I’ve seen quite a few success stories…from 6 and even 7-figure freelancers to people making more than their previous jobs while working part time.
Each one was different, but most have one thing in common — people weren’t trying to start from scratch or reinvent the wheel. They built their careers by getting the most out of what they already had.
That means they didn’t just pick what they found interesting or what they were passionate about. They started where they had work experience, education, competence, or connections…THEN they found passion and interest within those spaces.
Why does that work? Because clients want people who get them. They’re excited to work with people who don’t have to have every nuance of their field explained. They want to work with insiders.
That’s why, in the Niche Asset Assessment, we start with work history.
