You ever heard that saying about getting blood from a stone?

 

It applies to a lot of industries, fields, and niches out here.

 

I’m not talking about something you’re doing because you’re dedicated or passionate about it (to the point you’d do it for free.)

 

I’m talking about the fields where you’re trying to make a living…where people are consistently beating their heads against the wall to get fair pay, equal treatment, and acknowledgement of their work…where they expect to one day achieve those things.

 

Sometimes it’s not that you’re not good enough (you are), aren’t fighting hard enough (you have been), or that every one else is better and more driven than you (they really aren’t.) Some fields are just set up to reward the connected, “elite”, and privileged at the expense of everyone else.

 

The question you have to answer is why you’re still there…and where you can find better.
