Last week I talked about how setting a monthly sales target of 2-3x my minimum survival revenue changed my business.
If someone told me that a few years ago, I would’ve laughed. My employment mindset was still too strong, so I couldn’t understand how that could be achievable, especially without a ton of work.
We can’t shake the employment-mindset off you in one email, but I will share how I got there…
- Taking marketing and sales seriously as essential freelance skills
- Setting boundaries in working hours (So I HAD to figure out how to do $1K days)
- Always focusing on the highest return for the least work (cutting the bottom performers, niches included)
Of course, pulling that off takes time and nuance, but it really can be that simple.
If you want to talk about what that could look like in your freelance context, come on over to the boards.
