Hey!
Remote work’s been around for decades, but it’s never seen anything like this pandemic.
Companies from Amazon to Gartner are opening their doors to remote positions and rethinking just how important it is to have someone in a physical office.
For us? This is an opportunity — specifically to start targeting clients that will pay you more for the same, and even easier work.
I’ve talked about how deliberately targeting clients in areas with higher costs of living, (like Silicon Valley and NYC) made it easier for me to hit my personal goal of $1K days not being a strain. I wasn’t doing harder work, but to them, an $800 blog is no big deal in comparison to some local clients.
It doesn’t take anything more than shifting your marketing to concentrate on companies in those areas (I use LinkedIn to find them). So if you’ve been on the fence about branching out from local clients, now’s the time. If you need some support to get some ideas, come by the community.
