Between the pandemic and just life in general, I’ve been spending more time focused on things I’m grateful for. I’ve been trying to do this in my business too...thing is, I want it to be more than a thought or mental health exercise.
Gratitude is powerful. But I also think it’s an opportunity for us to take practical steps in our freelance work and shape how we go into 2021.
Here’s what I mean. I’m incredibly grateful for a manageable pace of work, laid back clients, and growing income. Those are all things I want to sustain, and even see more of. That means, on a tactical level, I’m...
...Setting and communicating turnaround times for my clients.
...Including an evaluation of how “pushy” or rushed a client feels in the interview process in my selection criteria.
...Focusing even more on my highest-earning services.
So as you’re (hopefully) winding things down where you can, ask yourself...what am I grateful for...and how can I make sure that gratitude survives and thrives?
