Hey!
A lot of freelancers are doing entirely too much with their online presence…breaking their brains over Twitter vs. Instagram vs. Facebook. All of that is secondary. (And if all that social media is driving your understanding of freelancing, it really can lead you off course.)
All that stuff is the arms of your online freelance presence. They bring people to your home. Your website.
Your website is where you tell people who you are, what you do, and how you help them. It might be harder to kick off a WordPress or even Squarespace site, but that kind of makes sense.
The website is what people who are serious about a sustainable freelance business build —the kind of people who will be around for their clients one year, two, five and ten down the road.
The simple answer might take a little more work, but it’s the one that sends the clearest message to the people who pay.
