“Are my freelance dreams too small?”
This is a question worth asking…not just when you start, but all along your journey.
That’s because you don’t know what it can mean to step away from employer control. I know I didn’t.
When I started, all I wanted was to replace my income and not to have so many people breathing down my neck. I didn’t really know that I could have shorter workdays, and shorter work weeks, and longer vacations, and make much more than I was.
I didn’t know that my quality of life and just general day-to-day peace, satisfaction, and happiness could grow so much.
But the wild thing is that, even sitting here, 7 years out, I know there’s more.
I also know the same applies to you too. None of us know what freelancing can really mean — especially when we’re intentional about it improving our lives.
Whenever you want to start painting a clearer picture, come by the community boards and start reshaping your perspective.
