Hey!
What do you think when somebody says they’re a freelancer?
That they’re an underpaid writer? That they’re constantly stressed because they don’t have health insurance and can barely find work? That they don’t have focused career goals?
A few years ago, those might have been generally true (even if they didn’t apply to everybody). Now though? Work has changed.
Even before the pandemic, things were starting to shift, but these days? We’re moving into an entirely new world…one where all of us, you included have amazing options in independent work. Here’s what I mean.
- Freelancers doing skilled services earn more than 70% of workers in the overall U.S. economy.
- Tech like Hectic, Dubsado, and LinkedIn have made it easier to find and manage work.
- “Now that employers are more comfortable with remote work they are more likely to tap freelancers to fill talent gaps.” ~CNBC
What’s that all mean? It means that work — even employed work — is changing. It also means that you’re sitting on an opportunity to look at life in a whole new way.
