Every month we run
through a series of questions to help you run your freelance business like a bigger business — “self-coaching” your way to better results and a better life.
Hey! Happy CEO month!
We’re closing out our month talking simplification—something every freelancer should prioritize.
That’s because freelancing shouldn’t be hectic, overwhelming, or taking up too much space in your life. That’s why this week we’re talking about a tactic that can free up space AND make you more money.
Cut the low earners.
This works on two levels—your lowest-paying clients and your lowest yield services (i.e. the things you offer that leave you feeling cheated or that just don’t bring in much money for the time and effort invested.)
This tactic works so well because, as soon as you drop the dead weight, you have more freedom to bring on better clients and offer services that better align with your goals.
There is an alternative though if you aren’t comfortable making those cuts…raise your rates and let the chips fall where they may.
If you want to talk out the results or how you can get started, come by the Academy boards and let’s talk it out!
