Buyer personas are ridiculously useful in content marketing: but only if they’re honest.
I ran across a tweet last week that referred to made-up personas as “liar personas” and yeah. That’s it exactly.
It’s funny, but you’d be surprised at how often people are working with “educated” guesses or just what some executive wants to see.
So make sure, when you’re building out (or even just using) your buyer personas, that they’re based on actual buyer insights and not just wishful thinking.
