Hey!
Omnichannel’s especially big on the consumer side of content but we’re seeing the concept creep more and more into B2B spaces. Here’s what it means.
Omnichannel is a multichannel approach to sales that seeks to provide customers with a seamless shopping experience, whether they're shopping online from a desktop or mobile device, by telephone, or in a brick-and-mortar store.
An omnichannel approach means there's integration between distribution, promotion and communication channels on the back end.
For content creators, it’s meant a push to think differently. A case study isn’t just a PDF that gets to be downloaded…it should be a video, audio file, available in print, via a QR code, and via a deck on LinkedIn. It should be the starting point of a conversation…about service, product, and customer experience.
The move in B2B of picking up more B2C traits is an exciting one in my opinion…it means we get to try all kinds of new tactics and crack open a whole new world of results for our clients and businesses.
