Hey!
Thanks to some really good questions from an Academy member, we’re gonna spend this month talking about distribution.
Now this topic? It’s arguably more important than anything on the content creation side...because if no one runs across the content you create, does it even exist?
Distribution is where way too many freelancers and businesses get tripped up on their content marketing...so we’re going cover four foundational questions you should be asking about your distribution strategy.
What do they want to talk about?
The mess going on with Netflix right now is such a good example of not listening to your market.
People want flexibility and quality programming they can count on being around more than a season or two. Netflix seems to be ignoring them.
Who knows why, but there’s a good chance they’re just too caught up on their own internal conversations and missing what their market wants.
When we make this mistake, we waste our distribution efforts...which can really drag a small business down.
So take a hint from those platforms we talked about last week...look at what’s working for them and see where you can’t align...you want
to get the highest possible ROI out of your distribution efforts.
