Every month we run through a series of questions to help you run your freelance business like a bigger business—“self-coaching” your way to better results and a better life. You can view a condensed version of this month’s coaching prompts here.
A lot of our markets have been in crazy levels of flux in the last few years...which is exactly why it’s so important to ask good questions...especially as we go into 2023.
That’s why this month, we’re asking and answering 4 critical questions to help you turn 2022 marketing “failures” into wins and “raise the floor” of your performance.
Take some time with these, especially since it’s going to involve being honest and reframing some aspects of your business that might not have turned out the
way you wanted.
Are you charging too little and scaring away prospects who don’ t think you do quality work? Have you set your rates too high and effectively priced yourself out of your market? (Not all that likely)
Pricing is honestly an art and one that you refine over time, so asking questions now for next year can pay off big and for years to come.
I’m personally pushing some limits to get myself to higher average earning, and with the way things are going economically? I think all of us should be.
That might involve how your price individual services or even packages. You might need to adjust the price of your foot-in-the-door services to sell more, higher-profit offerings.
Whatever it is, if you need some help answering pricing issues for 2023? Swing by the Academy boards and see if we can’t find some ideas.
