We’re going to cover this with the caveat that every niche is different and that you should always be working with industry-specific guidelines and your own experiments...but...
I still want to share what I’ve learned from my and my clients own low-ROI efforts so you can at least put these on the back burner when running your own tests.
So you might already know that I’m a big fan of LinkedIn message ads...mostly because they’re low-cost and a good way to build awareness (brand and challenge) and drive targeted website traffic.
But this doesn’t mean all LinkedIn’s ad products are solid.
I’ve found sponsored posts and display ads to be expensive and pretty low return, and my clients tend to shy away from them too. I’ve also heard the same thing from freelancers who do paid ad work.
So maybe ignore the prompts to sponsor that successful post for a second and try out another marketing tactic first.
