We’re going to cover this with the caveat that every niche is different and that you should always be working with industry-specific guidelines and your own experiments...but...
I still want to share what I’ve learned from my and my clients own low-ROI efforts so you can at least put these on the back burner when running your own tests.
Do I recommend trade magazines and platforms for keeping up with a niche?
Do I think they’re a good idea for content distribution?
Depending on the publication, ads can be ridiculously expensive, with a lot of that price driven by advertisers with deep pockets.
If you’ve got cash to burn, give them a shot, but know that a well-targeted ad through
Google might be a better call.
