As much as I believe in the power of content marketing, it can’t do everything.
Content marketing needs to be an outgrowth
of strategic business plans...even great content can’t make up for a lack of direction.
That’s why this month we’re going to be covering issues content marketing can’t fix...and what you should be doing
instead.
Poor design
I’m fighting a client on this one right now.
Content needs to be easy to navigate...gently walking users through your funnel. You can’t expect people to search your site for a topic, dig out your
email, or shuffle over to Twitter just to send you a DM. It’s always easier for them to just...not work with you.
What I’m talking about doesn’t even require a huge website overhaul...all it takes is a little bit of consideration and dedication to always asking “how can I make this easier for my prospects?”
