So I’ve had some really fast success in my content marketing lately.
My industry’s resetting for the next phase of the pandemic and I needed to adapt and align, so I decided to try out LinkedIn content creation again. This time, keeping it short…but also focused on LinkedIn as a platform.
My thoughts shifted from my last round of content creation…why cover broad content marketing topics to people on the platform? If we’re on LinkedIn, let’s talk LinkedIn!
And that’s what I did. Two short articles, a couple posts, and 2 days of ads later and I had two meetings set up and one new active contact at a client I’ve been wanting to sign for years.
So this month, I wanted to share what I learned so hopefully you can take something away to your content marketing work.
I decided to drop the posts in a couple of groups where I know vendors hang out.
A day later I got a DM from a manager saying I was discussing the exact problem he was having.
Now if I’d just waited and hoped on hashtags and prayers, I don’t think he would’ve found me at all.
So next time you publish, don’t forget to take it to the people it’s written for.
