Every month we run through a series of questions to help you run your freelance business like a bigger business—“self-coaching” your way to better results and a better life. You can view a condensed version of this month’s coaching prompts here.
Hey!
We’ve all heard about the freelance nightmare where a project gets out of hand with a ton of changes and ends up reducing the revenue for a freelancer…maybe even costing money because it eats up potential to do other work.
Well, project controls are a way to reduce that risk.
This month, we’re going to be covering four questions you can ask yourself about your business to implement better controls and build a little more safety into your work.
#2 Am I scheduling well?
A good schedule is probably one of the best stress-reducers in your freelance business.
Some people block work out in chunks of time. Personally, I use an automatic schedule blocking app, with boundaries around how much time I work in a day and
week.
As we roll into 2024, ask yourself if you feel like your schedule is working for your life and supporting your business—you’ll probably see some opportunity to improve your operations as COO of your freelance business.
