Freelance marketing requires a
lot more explaining than you might think.
It’s easy to assume that people just “get” what you’re selling, or that the services you’re selling just makes sense…but most people are in their own world, seeing things from their own perspective.
This means there are a bunch of basics that your
content might need spell out. That’s what we’re covering this month.
How to work with you
Do you work through Upwork? Do you use a contract? What’s your onboarding process like?
Freelancers are all different, so working with us can be unexplored territory for our prospects. This means that explaining things clearly,
even at the content level, can put their minds at rest.
Never forget that, as much as freelancers can get burned by clients, a lot of our contacts have had bad or just weird experiences with freelancers too. Spell it out on a website or onboarding packet so nobody’s left guessing.
