I’ve seen AI used in some pretty smart ways in
content marketing…including facilitating machine-to-machine communication and filling in gaps where we have labor shortages.
But for all the benefits, there are good reasons to be slow to jump on the generative AI bandwagon, and it’s just about impact on the environment.

The opportunity cost might be higher than you think
I had a client go radio silent on me about a year ago, and I’m pretty sure it’s because they were trying to launch a program that replaced writers with generative AI.
A year later, they came back…but by then they were behind schedule and playing catchup.
I don’t think it was a bad idea to try to leverage new technology, but there’s always a risk that, if it doesn’t pan out, you’ve burned a ton of time and opportunity playing with a new toy.
Test in small areas before you wager too much on ChatGPT.
