Every month we run through a series of questions to help you run your freelance business like a bigger business—“self-coaching” your way to better results and a better life.
Hey!
We’re closing out the year on a marketing month so you can get a strong start to 2025. This month, we’re going to review some of my favorite resources for getting familiar with the HubSpot CRM platform.
If you remember, it’s the one I recommend most and we did a workshop for Mastermind members here.
Each week, we’re covering a different resource, so if you’ve got some downtime over the holidays
and want to allocate that to your freelance business, this month’s newsletter is a great place to start.
#1 Why even use HubSpot?
It’s worth asking why you as a freelancer should even consider taking the time to use the HubSpot
CRM.
Healthy freelance businesses are grounded in strong marketing—and strong marketing requires intentionality and follow up. Those two things are next to impossible without the support of some kind of system.
I used to say to grab whatever you’re comfortable with, but these days, I recommend HubSpot’s free option. That’s because (obviously) it’s free, you’ve got a ton of room to grow beyond the free level, and it integrates with
a massive number of other platforms. You get a ridiculous amount of functionality at the free level and moving up, the jumps in prices are pretty reasonable and generally justifiable.
So download it (even if you’ve only got two contacts)…but honestly, everybody at every stage should consider it. Even if you’re employed, it’s a great way to track
and manage networking and even job prospects.
If you need some help getting started, drop by the Facebook Mastermind and we’ll see what we can help you with.
