Every month we run through a series of questions to help you run your freelance business like a bigger business—“self-coaching” your way to better results and a better life. You can view a condensed version of this month’s coaching prompts here.
Hey!
You might’ve noticed me making some tweaks around BlackFreelance, and one of them is going to be establishing preferred tools.
These are going to be tools and platforms that of course aren’t required, but that are
recommended and that we can share experiences on…and the first is going to be a pipeline management tool, HubSpot.
#3 Am I making it a habit?
So this is the most important part. Pipelines are like gardens—they need tending and attention. Neglect it, and they die off.
You won’t see the impact of neglect immediately, but in a few months,
maybe even a year, you’ll notice less business, reduced cashflows, and honestly probably a bit of panic as the reality starts to emerge.
That’s why I recommend checking in at least once a week (you’ve probably seen my take on marketing Mondays). During times of change or update, you might need to do it more frequently. (I
personally stripped my entire pipeline down to zero earlier this year and have been working on it daily to rebuild.)
So pick a day, any day. Just check in, play with tools, work on flows, and you’ll be starting a habit that will pay off massively in your freelance life. And if you’ve got questions, come by the Academy Facebook
group!
