Hi!
I know a few freelancers thriving right now, but most are expressing real challenges in getting work.
Personally, work’s been slower than I’ve seen it in a very long time…but…
One thing that’s kept me afloat is leaning into my fellow freelancers—other people running indie businesses who have pulled me into projects…the kind I
wouldn’t have known existed from my regularly marketing processes.
The thing about partnerships though, is that after that first intro call where everybody says they’ll keep up with each other? Things tend to go silent.
That’s why having a habit of checking in is so important.
I have weekly
and monthly check ins in a couple of consulting groups and I send my partners updates quarterly
This is also why you have access to the BF Mastermind Discord. Stop by regularly, drop in any jobs you have, and don’t be shy about telling people you’re looking for work. You never know who’s in a position to
pass on a gig. Closed mouths don’t get fed in this work.
