Hi!
2025 is closing out and it’s a great time to start slowing things down with some less-production focused work…while still focusing on the kind that will drive business for next year.
One of the easiest ways to do this is to downshift and connect with a few partners.
Partnerships are business-changers
This year has been ROUGH for me…transitioning from a focus on writing to consulting in the middle of AI disruption and the chaos of the current US administration has tested me in ways I really didn’t expect.
But partners have kept me afloat.
Reaching out
to people who aren’t direct clients, but who can bring you in on projects or refer you to other prospects can completely change the look of your freelance business and get you over humps that are just part of the process.
So we’re going to look at setting up a schedule to close out the year with partnerships, and circle back around in 2026 to get things moving again.
Now is a great time to schedule a few minutes to catch up and share end of year thoughts with your partners. (After next week it’s going to start to get a little difficult.)
A 10-15 minute meeting is fine to let them know how you’re closing out your year, share your thoughts for next year, and ask what they’re up to.
And remember that your CRM is invaluable here—it’s
too easy to lose track of people, (especially if you’re doing the volume you should be)…so don’t forget to jump into HubSpot (you can grab free access here).
