Every month we run through a series of
questions to help you run your freelance business like a bigger business—“self-coaching” your way to better results and a better life.
Hey!
Partnerships are immensely valuable in times of uncertainty and chaos…and that’s what we’re living in now.
I’ve been having
regular talks with partners and potential partners, and it’s helped clarify so much in my freelance business. That’s why, this CMO month, we’re going to cover how to make sure you’re putting your best face forward as a partner and how to keep that momentum going for the indefinite future.
#4 Are you following up consistently?
Follow up really is
half of our lives as freelancers…and partnerships are no different.
We’re all busy with our businesses and it’s extremely easy to forget exactly who that freelancer was who would’ve been perfect for a new opportunity that just popped up.
The thing about follow up is that you have options. You can offer interesting info, ask questions, or just schedule some time to share
thoughts on your business or industry changes.
The most important thing is to not overthink it. Make it easy for yourself, natural, and carve out some time so that it’s not taking up a ton of mental space.
