Hi!
Freelance stability comes from business health, and business health lives in your pipeline.
This month, we’re going to be covering the basic best practices when using a CRM. These will help ensure it’s a valuable tool in your business and that you’re always doing a favor to your future self.
BF note: Any
CRM is better than none, but despite having no affiliations, I always recommend HubSpot since it has a free version, tons of integrations and courses, and that it’s a skill you can resell as a freelancer.
Be accurate and
thorough
So I got reminded of this one the hard way.
I’ve been using HubSpot for years and recently realized that I should be targeting sales people directly. Do you know what I haven’t done a good job of documenting all this time?
Titles.
It would be
SUPER useful if I could go through and search for all the salespeople I’ve talked to, but I can’t. So now I have extra work to do.
Don’t be like me. Make it a habit to document things well and correctly, including title, business type, contact information, etc. You’ll thank yourself later.
