Hi!
Freelance stability comes from business health, and business health lives in your pipeline.
This month, we’re going to be covering the basic best practices when using a CRM. These will help ensure it’s a valuable tool in your business and that you’re always doing a favor to your future self.
BF note: Any
CRM is better than none, but despite having no affiliations, I always recommend HubSpot since it has a free version, tons of integrations and courses, and that it’s a skill you can resell as a freelancer.
Set reminders
immediately
Reminders are your best friend in a CRM.
Remember those 8-12 touches it takes to close a deal? Yeah, they don’t happen automatically. Most of the time you will have to follow up, and the best time to make sure that happens? It’s when you’re in the account.
I’ll set up reminders for anywhere from three days to
three months to a year out.
The whole point is to make sure things are always moving and you never let a contact just sit dormant.
