Hey!
Last week’s checkup was about using maps. This week I want to talk about opportunity.
That’s because a big part of earning more while working less is really just about going where the money’s bigger. So, this week I want you to start thinking about the regions where businesses in your niche might be concentrated.
Start by asking yourself a few questions.
- Are the major players in my niche in one particular area?
- Are the customers of my potential prospects concentrated in one area?
- Where is there overlap between areas with higher average salaries and all of the above
You can figure that out with a few searches of headquarters but also trade mags (to see what cities and regions they’re discussing). I’ve also found that conferences will sometimes try to stay closer to anywhere a field is concentrated.
You can even flat out ask anybody else in the field what cities are big in your niche or industry.
Try it out! And let me know what you find. If you want to talk it out or want my feedback? Come by the boards.
