Hey!
Welcome to Production Month: Keep it Personal
This month we’re going to be talking about production…how you get paid work done…but in a way that works for you.
As freelancers we have HUGE opportunities to build businesses that fit around our lives, and it’s time we take advantage of it!
The Importance of Personal Production
Earlier this week I wrote a post on our relationship with work and this is where so much of that shows up.
A healthy relationship with work shows up in production standards that fit our lives and are flexible with our needs.
An unhealthy relationship shows up as production standards carried over from employment, other indie workers that have nothing to do with us, and grind culture.
So this month we’re going to cover some ways to make sure our approach to production is a reflection of who we are and where we want to go. This week, I want you to think about how you work now and some of the things you’d like to see change. (Remember that all that is up to you.)
If you want to share production tips with other Academy members, come on over!
