Hey!
Sometimes coming up with a content marketing plan isn’t about creating some huge, complicated new strategy.
Sometimes it’s just about finding and filling gaps.
I recently sat in on a sales call with one of my clients and learned something interesting about their sales funnel. Apparently, they were losing deals right after sales presentations — all because the sales team wasn’t sure how to answer questions about their competitors.
This can go a lot of different directions, but my suggestion was battle cards to keep the sales funnel moving.
More importantly though, it makes the rest of my content look good. Content is only as good as the business it drives, and the best blogs, white papers, and email sequences fall apart if deals are lost at the bottom of your marketing funnel.
So before you put too much work into a strategy, make sure you’re using what you’ve got.
