Hey!
How’s your 2021 going so far? Mine’s a mix of everything tbh, but things have been good on the freelance side — mostly because I’ve been digging deep into customer marketing.
Customer marketing (marketing focused on existing customers) can be a huge opportunity for most freelancers…and most of us don’t get enough out of it. That’s why this month, I want to check up on four different ways — ways to get more out of your existing relationships to get your revenue moving and keep your business as simple as possible.
First up? Keeping track.
I’ve talked about the importance of a good CRM before (I’ve used Insightly, Dubsado, and the Gmail-friendly Streak) and they’re honestly pretty amazing…and they’re the foundation of strong marketing habits.
That high level view of who you work with, along with other info (lifetime earnings, average project size, sub niche, etc.) can be ridiculously useful as your business matures.
So, if you don’t have a CRM and want to start seeing the benefits of customer marketing, it’s time to grab one. If you have any questions about which I like and why, just respond to this email. Have a great week!
Megan
P.S. Also, correction the latest episode of the podcast on content marketing. I had some code issues and the correct link is actually here. Thanks as always for listening!
