So we’re talking about what to do when you’re not feeling productive. Last week we covered listening to yourself and leaning in to slower periods in your life. This week, we’re talking about “why.”
Look for the Cause
Even if you aren’t going to pressure yourself into doing more and pushing through a lull, it’s worth asking what’s behind it…this is because honestly, most lulls are likely red flags…warning signs you’re missing things like:
- Working more than is optimal for you
- Ignoring your emotional needs
- Feeling drained by something outside work
- Spending too much time on things you don’t enjoy or that don’t interest you
I went through that this week after a string of e-books that weren’t on the most interesting topics. I’ll be turning things around next week though, so I can get back to a life with fewer low points.
