Hey!
This month we’re talking out what to do when you’re not feeling productive. Last week we touched on “why”, but this week we’re going to talk how to handle it.
Of course, if you need to take some time, take it, rest. Go for a walk. Sleep. Play…but there’s a chance that continuing to work might not be the worst idea.
Switch things up
A lot of times, when I just can’t get moving or I stall, it’s not so much an overall energy issue, it’s that I’m tired of one specific task.
Earlier this month I was having a hard time finishing up a white paper, so I stopped. When I stepped back, I didn’t feel tired or the need to rest my brain or change scenery, so I just did something else.
I got some social media posts queued up and did some other admin work, and ya know what? Well…I didn’t go straight back to the white paper (I took a break first), but after that I was good to go…and I’d checked a few things off my list.
So next time you’re feeling off, try just switching things up to see how that works.
