,
I don't mention it too often, but I freelance as both a writer and content marketer.
That means that sometimes companies hire me just to write an article or some web copy, but sometimes they need guidance and work created that helps them use the Internet to draw in customers in ways that don't involve traditional sales channels.
If you'd asked me what "content marketing"
was 5 years ago, I would have looked at you like you were crazy. After taking a few courses though, I credit the concept with the fact that I'm able to freelance at all, and I think anyone can do the same thing. That's why I wanted to make sure that one of the first courses BlackFreelance offered addressed content marketing.
The great thing about this course is that it will be helpful for everyone including...
- Writers who can use it to
broaden their client base
- Other freelancers who can use it to draw in clients without traditional sales methods
- New freelancers who are looking to find what kind of work they can do
It's our longest course at 8 weeks, and there's quite a bit of reading (it walks you through the e-books of my favorite content marketing resource), but it's very doable, and ridiculously good for expanding your confidence in
online marketing that doesn't feel slimy or cheesy.
Whenever you're ready to give it a shot,
sign up, and don't forget to let me know what you think (I'm considering adding some short exercises and your feedback would be a huge help). Thanks as always, and if you observe Labor Day, have a great
weekend!
Megan.
