5 Quick Ways To Handle Freelancer Anxiety

Published: Wed, 02/17/16

Hi

It's been a bumpy couple of weeks for me.

There's a huge conference coming up in my niche, and it seems like every company on the planet waited until the last second to get their materials together and are scrambling...this means that even my current clients are coming at me with jumbles of information and printing deadlines at all kinds of weird hours that they need me to put together. (It's also the reason this newsletter is late...apologies.)

Straight up...I don't work like this and I'm stressed, annoyed, and frustrated.

I've learned some lessons and have added office hours to my site. I'll likely start adding rush fees to my contracts to establish some boundaries too...but let's be real...that doesn't work for every situation and some clients are just hard-headed. Sometimes you have to find ways to cope and maintain your health in the midst of the storm.

That's why last week, I put together a few different solutions I use to get past the short-term anxiety and frustration that can come with challenging periods in your freelance life. I hope they can help you at at some level too...so check those out, and if you have any to add, drop them off in the comments. Have a great week!
